Start your own time capsule. While out on dates collect match books, theatre ticket stubs, a picture, a postcard, anything that will serve as romantic memory of your time together.

When you have gathered enough items invest in a beautiful container or scrap book from your local stationers. Take time to put this diary of your time together carefully. Then present it to your mate as a chronicle of your time together.

Romantic Evening Idea - Tub O Fun!

Who said getting clean isn't fun? Start by acquiring some lightly scented candles. Perhaps you already have some around the house. If not you can pick them up relatively inexpensively at any gift or drug store.

While you are the store pick up your favorite brand of bubble bath! Then spurge on a rich creamy shampoo and conditioner! Hint: get the trial size. Most stores have an area designated for sample size products, or save them from your last hotel trip! The trick is to have small bottles of these products (less clumsy).

The day before let your lover know that you have a surprise for him/her. Just before they arrive sprinkle silk rose petals from the entry door to the bath tub. On arrival, suggest that you go for a "romantic bath".

After you lead your lover to the bath tub, gently light the candles that you have strategically arranged around the bathroom area. (NEVER LEAVE CANDLES UNATTENDED!) I will leave the rest to your imagination, but I think you get the idea.

Board games aren't just for the times we get together with other couples to play trivia games or charades. There is a virtual plethora of romantic games available. Some more sexy than others but all have the same common goal which is to get the two of you closer to one another.

They are a terrific way to get to know each other through the "umbrella" of a romantic game. EH? What I mean is for those who are just getting to know one another, shy,  or more reserved or just afraid to let their hair down a romantic board game is the perfect idea!

Romantic Evening Idea - Strawberries and Champagne

I personally do not know of two things that go better together! Strawberries and Champagne not only say "romance", they SCREAM romance. Classy and romantic these two are sure to please.

Start by purchasing the very best strawberries. This may mean spending a bit more but you really want the juiciest - plumpest  strawberries you can get. If your local grocery store doesn't carry it consider going  a bit out of your way to check out your local fruit grocer. Most cities have a grocer that specializes in vegetables/fruits.

Next invest in a quality champagne. Now this doesn't have to be an expensive bottle of Dom Perignon. However take the time to talk to a manager at your local liquor store and ask his or her recommendation.

Next, set the stage for romance. Prepare your strawberries and arrange them on a beautiful serving tray or dish. Break out the champagne flutes and enjoy your own "taste tests"!!

Romantic Evening Idea - Two Can Play At that Game!

Tired of watching football? Or girly flicks? No problem! Show your partner that although you may not necessarily be a sports or girly film junkie you respect their right to have their male bonding or female bonding time!

Start by asking your partners friends to join him/her for a day of sports or girly films! Ask the friends not to say anything to your partner as this will be a surprise. If you are doing this for a sports nut, consider hosting a party for him and all his friends on a Sunday to watch football or whatever they are into.

Decorate the room with sports decorations and make appetizers and sandwiches for the guys. If this is for the gals, rent all her favorite films. Have the room all set up with a DVD/VCR. Spend time making sandwiches and the like for the gals.

As your partner enjoys being surprised by their friends joining them for the day, announce that you hope they have a great time and you go shopping or hang with the guys until their party is over!

Trust me, this goes a long way with a mate. It shows that you really care about what makes them happy!
