The Ultimate Birthday Gift.

What are you thankful for this year? Your job? Your income? Your family? All are so important. Each day we have the ability to love, indulge, smile, frown, be gracious or be sad.

What does this all have to do with birthdays?

Well, a lot. Each day we are with our partner we have the chance to make their day extra special. And when it comes time to celebrate the day of their birth that is a time to show them just how special they are to you.

Have you ever stopped and thought what a day, a week or a month would be without them? They are the one person you can count on when all others have failed. They are your friend, your confident and yes your lover.

But if you really want to impress, let them know how happy you are to be a part of their lives You could start by celebrating the day of their birth with not only tokens of affection but perhaps warm sentiment by you composing a letter or poem to them letting them know what your life would be like without you in them.

Let them know that their birthday is just as important you as it is to them. (and if your relationship is more advanced and you really want to get in good with “the parents” send a plant or bouquet to your partners parents or guardians thanking them for such a beautiful gift).

Find out what it would cost to rent out a movie theatre for a private party. See if they can arrange your show your lover’s favorite movie. Arrange to get there just a bit before and place Happy Birthday balloons on the chairs where you want to sit. Invite all of their friends and family or just have a private viewing!

Romantic Birthday on a Budget

Low on cash? No problem! Pack a picnic and find a comfy spot at the park or the beach. Bring a soft blanket, your favorite beverages and a portable CD/cassette player. Play romantic music as you enjoy the day.

You say that is fine, but it is cold outside? No problem! Bring it indoors but have your Birthday Picnic in the evening. Spread out a comfy blanket and light candles!

If your partner has an email address, utilize an online ecard service to send to your partner a Birthday ecard on the day of their Birthday! The majority of ecard sites allow you to do this in advance of the actual day.

This is great for those of us who are memory challenged!

Romantic Past and Present

If your relationship is at a point where you can step it up a notch in the heart strings department have we got an idea for you!

Talk to your partner’s parents and see if you can borrow pictures of them at their birthday parties when they were young. Scan the pictures so that you have a copy.

Buy some thick construction paper or a small scrapbook. Arrange the pictures and perhaps add some colorful pictures of balloons and cakes etc.

After you are done, on the last page or in the presentation card you will be giving along with the gift, say something like…I wish I could have been with you for all of your birthday parties. I couldn’t make it to your birthday parties in the past but I will be here for all the ones in the future.
